Effective date: the day Even Today. is released on the App Store.

Apple Health

With your permission, Even Today. reads your workouts from Apple Health (type, time, duration and distance) to know whether today is done, and writes the one small thing you tick off back to Apple Health as a workout. This data is processed on your iPhone only and is never sent anywhere.

On-device language model

The day's words are chosen with Apple's on-device Foundation Models when your iPhone supports them. This runs on your iPhone.

Push notifications and the Live Activity

To start and update the Live Activity before your cutoff, the app sends our server, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the US (us-east-1):

• an anonymous install id (not linked to your name, email or Apple ID),
• push tokens,
• your cutoff and time zone,
• your notification and Live Activity preferences,
• and, when today is done, a flag that cancels today's countdown. It doesn't say how the day was done.

This record is deleted immediately when you turn Live Activities off in the app's settings. Otherwise it expires automatically 90 days after you last opened the app (automatic expiry can take up to about two extra days). No backups of it are kept.

Usage statistics

The app sends anonymous usage events (for example, which screens are opened and which settings change) to PostHog in the US. They never contain health data, and IP addresses are discarded. You can turn this off in the app's settings.

What we don't do

No ads. No tracking. We never sell data.
